Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life..

The Tabernacle Project

Many years ago, a visionary man set up a replica of the Tabernacle very close to the Dead Sea in Israel. The Tabernacle was a great place of attraction not only to international tourists but to local indigenous people as well. Sadly, this project couldn’t continue due to the 2nd Intifada and was eventually decimated.

The Vision

Our vision is to rebuild this project on its original scale, as mentioned in the Book of Exodus, in a nearby location to the Dead Sea, where land could be rented and used to construct this structure. The Dead Sea Road is a highway between the north and south of Israel. Almost 1.5 million tourists pass through this road annually. Through the Tabernacle tour, we will be able to share the message of the Gospel openly and encourage people to know about Jesus. Many of them will be religious Jews, Palestinians, and internationals.

As we allow people to encounter the Hebrew people on their journey with God by experiencing a full-scale reproduction of the Tabernacle in the wilderness, as described in the Hebrew scriptures, from the eastern gate of the courtyard to the Ark of the Covenant in the Holy of Holies, our 35-minute presentation will immerse people in a Biblical experience leading up to Jesus.

The Plan:

As we secure a grant for this project, we will be able to start the process of renting land, ordering and creating the construction needed for the Tabernacle, employing people, and opening up a restaurant and a gift shop to secure the sustainability of the project and creating additional income to cover the running costs.

The Budget:

The project will require $1.2 million to be completely accessible and functional. This investment will be long-term and will also create many job opportunities for new believers, local Christians, and others.
