“I think we do not attach sufficient importance to the restoration of the Jews. We do not think enough of it. But certainly, if there is anything promised in the Bible, it is this.”-Charles Haddon Spurgeon

We believe that we should be zealous for Jerusalem as the Lord is zealous for Jerusalem according to Zechariah 8: 1-3,
“Again the word of the Lord of hosts came, saying, 2 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘I am zealous for Zion with great zeal; With great fervor I am zealous for her.’ 3 “Thus says the Lord: ‘I will return to Zion, And dwell in the midst of Jerusalem. Jerusalem shall be called the City of Truth, The Mountain of the Lord of hosts, The Holy Mountain.’”
We believe that we need to be bold in living out the Great Commission in Jerusalem and that the Word of God tells us that the gospel came first for the Jews according to Romans 1:16,
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”
Even though we are not given a specific timeline in scripture, we know that God has a plan to restore Israel and that if the restoration of Israel is important to God then it should be important to us. Romans 11:26,
“And so all Israel will be saved.”
ISRAEL “REVEAL” TRIP—MARCH 7-16, 2022
Ultimately,
We believe this will be accomplished by working with local church partners in Israel and assisting them meet their needs in order to grow the church. Some examples will be through the growth of small groups, identifying and training small group leaders, assisting with the creation of small group curriculum, parallel bible translations and distribution, short term missions trips, and the creation of small business opportunities.

“So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
And so all Israel will be saved.

Scott Ostrowski
FOUNDER, THE JERUSALEM PROJECT.
I have spent the past 20 years in ministry having served as a Small Group Community Leader, a Military Chaplain in the Air National Guard, a Police Chaplain with the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, and most recently as an Area Representative with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
In February 2020 God provided me with an opportunity to travel to Israel and experience the Holy Land. While there I heard the Lord say to me “I am not here. These shrines, statues, are just idols that people come here to worship.” There are approximately 1 million people in Jerusalem, 990,000 of which are Jews and Muslims, and only 10,000 as identified Christians. Of those Christians, most of those are liturgical and not evangelical. The evangelical Christians are a very small, if even noticeable, part of the Jerusalem population. The Western Church doesn’t seem to even think of Jerusalem as a mission field. I have even heard Christians in the US say, “We (the Jews and Christians) both worship the same God.” Well, that’s completely untrue, if you deny Jesus Christ as Messiah, then we don’t worship the same God. Just not possible. Without Jesus, the Jews in Jerusalem are destined to eternal damnation just like any other non-believer. As I stood on the Mount of Olives looking at Jerusalem I heard the Lord tell me to bring the gospel to His people in Jerusalem. Not just His people the Jews, but the Muslims living in Jerusalem as well. So here I stand, with my family, ready to be obedient and embark on this journey to live out the gospel of Jesus by partnering with local churches and organizations and establishing short-term missions projects, raising and discipling men and women of God, and starting home churches throughout the city. Hence the reason for starting this grassroots effort, “The Jerusalem Project.” |
